Minister of Foreign Affairs Discusses Strengthening Public Diplomacy and National Coordination with Youth Activists and Civil Society Organizations
Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Varsen Shahin, met on Monday with a group of youth activists and representatives of civil society organizations working internationally to discuss strengthening diplomacy and national coordination. During the meeting, she briefed them on the latest developments and efforts undertaken by the Ministry at the international level in defense of the rights of the Palestinian people and in support of enhancing the status of the State of Palestine.
For his part, Mohammad Rabah, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the REFORM Foundation, delivered a briefing on the pivotal role played by civil society organizations and youth activists, highlighting the importance of integration and coherence between official and popular diplomatic efforts, and the need for alignment between the two tracks. The meeting also addressed mechanisms for coordination and cooperation between the Ministry and civil society organizations and activists working in the international arena. Emphasis was placed on the importance of public diplomacy as a complementary pillar to official diplomacy, and on achieving effective integration between governmental and societal efforts in service of the supreme national interest.
Minister Shahin listened to the questions and proposals raised by the activists, who emphasized the importance of unifying the national discourse and strengthening cooperation among all stakeholders to support the Palestinian national project and promote its just narrative in international forums. She expressed her appreciation for the vital role played by youth and civil society institutions, reaffirming the Ministry’s openness to enhancing communication and sustained coordination in pursuit of shared national objectives.
