In the presence of the Palestinian Ambassador in Lebanon, the Mouwasat Association commemorates the Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People and the International Day of People with Disabilities.

On the occasion of the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People and the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, Al-Mouwasat Association organized a special activity through the Special Needs Center and the Sidon Technical Institute, offering a supportive environment for children with disabilities.

The event was attended by the Ambassador of the State of Palestine in Lebanon, Dr. Mohammad Al-Assad, along with several officials including Fathi Abu Al-Ardat, Dr. Mohammad Hammoud of the Palestinian Red Crescent, and Embassy Relations Officer Samir Abu Afsh.

They were welcomed by the association’s president, Mrs. Rola Al-Ansari, the administrative council, Director Mrs. Ghaidaa Al-Darzi, and Mr. Abdul Rahman Al-Ansari.

The event opened with the Lebanese and Palestinian national anthems. Mrs. Al-Ansari delivered a speech highlighting the association’s mission to support vulnerable groups and strengthen solidarity between the Lebanese and Palestinian communities.

Ambassador Al-Assad emphasized that true solidarity begins with human dignity and the rights of children with disabilities, reaffirming Palestine’s commitment to supporting them.

Children Activity Center Visit

The ambassador and delegation visited the Special Needs Center, observed classroom activities, and interacted with the children. They enjoyed a traditional heritage performance by the Jerusalem Folklore Troupe.

Ambassador Al-Assad offered educational games to enhance cognitive skills, while Dr. Mohammad Hammoud of the Palestinian Red Crescent donated special wheelchairs to support children with mobility disabilities.

The event concluded with a meeting to strengthen cooperation between Al-Mouwasat Association and the Palestinian Red Crescent, focusing on improving physiotherapy services and ensuring the continuity of specialized care.

This day reaffirmed that supporting children with disabilities is a moral and social responsibility. The ambassador’s presence highlighted Palestine’s dedication to caring for its people wherever they are, while Al-Mouwasat Association continues its decades-long humanitarian role serving both Palestinian and Lebanese communities.
