The Ambassador of the State of Palestine to the Lebanese Republic, Muhammad al-Asaad, participated in the honoring ceremony that was held at the UNESCO Palace in Beirut under the patronage and presence of the Lebanese Minister of Culture, Ghassan Salam. To honor the late great poet Tali’ Hamdan with the participation of ministers MPs and representatives of the spiritual military security references cultural artistic institutions and the family of the late.
On the occasion, I gave words that emphasized the great role that the departed played in developing the art of zajal in Lebanon and the Arab nation and his role in enriching this type of culture and transmitting to successive generations.
The words mentioned Hamdan's relationship with Palestine and his defense of the rights of the Palestinian people in their land, and the deceased wore the Palestinian keffiyeh during the evenings, expressing the extent of his emotional and humanitarian connection to Palestine, its people, and its just cause.
