Curriculum Vitae and Diplomatic Career
Dr. Mohammed Qasim Asaad Al-Asaad (born October 10, 1958, in Lebanon) is a Palestinian diplomat. He served as Ambassador to Ukraine between 2010 and 2019, and to Mauritania between 2021 and 2025. He currently holds the position of Palestinian Ambassador to Lebanon.
Early Life and Education
Dr. Mohammed Qasim Al-Asaad was born on October 10, 1958, in Lebanon. He studied at the People's Friendship University of Russia (formerly the Patrice Lumumba University). In 1985, he obtained a Master's degree in Civil Engineering from the same university, and in 1990, he earned a Doctorate in Technical Sciences from the same institution.

Secretary of the Fatah Movement in the Soviet Union and later Russia
First Secretary of the Palestinian Embassy in Russia

Official Appointment
On August 27, 2025, Ambassador Mohammed Al-Asaad presented his credentials to Lebanese Foreign Minister Youssef Rjeily, marking the official start of his duties as Ambassador of the State of Palestine to the Lebanese Republic.

Ambassador Al-Asaad works to strengthen the bonds of cooperation and brotherhood between the State of Palestine and the Lebanese Republic, to serve the Palestinian community in Lebanon, and to defend the causes of our Palestinian people in international forums.
